Mobile Meals serves hot, nourishing meals to deserving applicants in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. To be eligible to receive a meal, a recipient must satisfy one or more of the following criteria
- Homebound (unable to travel to purchase food from a grocery store or restaurant) or unable to prepare meals for themselves.
- Recovering from an injury, illness, or surgery that causes a temporary hardship for the applicant to obtain meals
- Receiving hospice or other such related care.
- Reside in a facility where meals are not provided or do not have a care provider that can prepare meals.
- Recipients must live (or receive meals) within Mobile Meals delivery area.
Recipients are subject to periodic review of their condition to ensure they continue to satisfy eligibility requirements. If a recipient is deemed to no longer satisfy the criteria, service could be discontinued.
If a recipient has difficulty in making payment or falls delinquent on payments, a payment plan should be set up by contacting the Mobile Meals Coordinator. If payments fall below acceptable levels (please see the payment guidelines on the Meal Services page), meal service could be discontinued. Discontinuation must be approved by the Mobile Meals Board of Directors.
For special cases not covered by the criteria above, the Mobile Meals Board of Directors will determine if the applicant/recipient should receive meals.
We serve those requesting our service regardless of race, ethnicity or age.
